Kohima: Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress for using North Eastern states like an ATM. He participated in a rally in Chumukedima district of Nagaland where assembly elections will be held soon. During the Congress rule, the state was run by remote control from Delhi.
Modi said there was instability in Nagaland during Congress rule. He criticized the party for giving priority to the politics of inheritance rather than development.
Modi said that the welfare, peace and progress of the people of Nagaland should be the focus of BJP and NDA. That is why people’s trust in their government is increasing. He said that the Armed Forces Special Powers Act was lifted to establish permanent peace in the state.

Assembly elections in Nagaland will be held on February 27. The results will be declared on March 2. The BJP contested the 2018 assembly elections along with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). As a result, the NDA coalition won almost all the seats. NDPP leader Neefu Rio took charge as CM. On the other hand, in the last election, Congress failed to win even a single seat here.
