✅Heavy Rains Bengaluru Many Areas Submerged

Witness, Bangalore: Heavy rains lashed Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. All the roads in the city were waterlogged due to incessant rains. The streets resemble streams. Especially Bellandur, Sarjapura Road, Whitefield, Outer Ring Road and BEML layout areas were severely affected due to floods. Two-wheelers were washed away like boats in the floodwaters at Spike Garden in Marathahalli. Rescue teams rescued a person trapped in flood water at Marathahalli silk board junction.

Officials have taken action on a war footing in the waterlogged areas. Rescue teams were deployed and those trapped in the watershed were shifted to safer places. However, residents of the city shared photos of the floods on social media and expressed concern. It is said that for the first time in the history of Bengaluru, even the premium societies were flooded. CM Basavaraj appealed to Bommai to provide assistance.

Some other netizens criticized the government. If it rains for 10 minutes, will the situation be like this in Bengaluru? expressed dissatisfaction. Can’t they build proper infrastructure and drainage system for those who are paying high taxes? He asked.

Due to heavy rains, there was a heavy traffic jam on the outer ring road connecting the IT parks with flood water. Due to this, the motorists faced serious difficulties. On the other hand, the India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Bengaluru till September 9. Alert has been issued for Kodagu, Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikamagaluru districts.
