Dehradun: Due to heavy rains and floods, landslides are occurring in many areas. A landslide occurred near Tarsali village in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning. National Highway 109 is completely closed. Due to this, vehicles were stopped for kilometers on both sides. There was no loss of life as the locals warned of the danger of landslides. Scenes of landslides have gone viral on social media.
District Collector Mayur Dixit said that the debris on the national highway will be removed and vehicular traffic will be allowed soon. Passengers are in safe areas. We are reopening the highway. We will allow vehicles as soon as the debris is removed,’ he said. On the other hand.. Devotees going to Kedarnath.. had to stop at places like Rudraprayag, Tilwara, Agastyamuni and Guptakashi.
