Kolkata: Once again political tensions arose in West Bengal. A bomb exploded in the house of the leader of the ruling Trinamool Congress party. It seems that three people were killed. Since the investigation into this incident has started, the opposition BJP is making serious accusations.
The explosion took place at the house of a TMC leader in Naryabila village of Purba Medinipur East on Friday midnight. The leader was confirmed as TMC booth president Rajkumar Manna. The explosion destroyed the house. So far three dead bodies (including Rajkumar’s) have been recovered by the police from the spot. Two others were seriously injured. The reasons for the bomb blast are yet to be known. However, the police say that the intensity of the explosion was heavy and there was some damage in the surrounding area.
TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is scheduled to hold a meeting today in Untai area named after BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. In this background, political uproar broke out due to the attack. However, the opposition BJP is alleging that this explosion happened in the process of making bombs. BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh criticized the ruling TMC saying that only the bomb making industry is developing in the state. Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari also posted photos related to this incident on Twitter and expressed many doubts.
