city (v.). Taking a positive initiative, Chhattisgarh MNREGA Employees Federation Block Unit took 21 fruitful varieties of plants on International Yoga Day to restore 21 assistant project officers who were terminated from service during the strike.

The block president of the federation, Ayush Jha said that Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma understood the problems and conveyed our words to the government. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has assured to get the assistant project officers reinstated soon. Keeping this in mind, 21 saplings have been planted and demand has been made from the state government to restore it soon. The federation said that under the MNREGA scheme, the work of management of natural resources is done prominently. In the monsoon session, under the guidance of Collector PS Elma and District CEO Priyanka Mahobia, an action plan has been prepared for tree plantation on a large scale in the district. Through this plantation program, MGNREGA family appeals to the enlightened citizens of the district, general public, social organizations to fulfill their responsibility towards nature by joining the tree plantation campaign.

During the MGNREGA strike that lasted for 66 days, the services of 21 assistant project officers were terminated across the state, which was postponed by the MNREGA employees after the initiative and assurance of Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma. If reliable sources are to be believed, after the initiative of the minister, action has also started on this at the government level. Among those who planted saplings were Ravikala Sahu, Rambati Phoolmali, Rashmi Sahu, Rupeshwari Patel, Poornima Banjare, Yashwant Ghritalhare, Hupendra Devangan, Tulsi Chandrakar, Akash Patil, Sachin Som, Durgesh Devangan etc.
