8 complaints from Lucknow, 7 from Hardoi, 5 from Kushinagar, 4 from Varanasi, 1 each from Prayagraj, Kanpur, Pratapgarh, Ghazipur, Rae Bareli, Lakhimpur, Barabanki, Jaunpur and Mau. Total 13 districts and 33 complaints. Women Power Line was getting all these complaints against the same person for several months.

Arrested for harassing women

It was alleged that this man used to talk obscenely with women on the phone. The accused used to initiate conversation with women and then indecent conversation. If the woman complained to anyone, she would have threatened to kill her. 1090 was receiving similar complaints of two numbers for several months.

When the women power line’s surveillance team checked the number, the SIM turned out to be a fake name and address. When the surveillance team checked the IMEI of the mobile phone, it came to know that the caller is a resident of Bhadohi. The team of Women Power Line with the help of Bhadohi Police has arrested Dinesh Kumar Rai, who is making life difficult for women over the phone. Dinesh Kumar Rai is a resident of Revda Paraspur village of Kotwali town of Bhadohi. A laborer by profession. Dinesh Kumar Rai would suddenly dial the number with a SIM on a fake name address, if the woman’s voice came from the other side, she would start talking obscenely.
