Digital Desk, New Delhi. Around 400 employees of Parliament turned out to be Corona positive during the surprise test. Sources gave this information.
According to sources, the surprise test was conducted on January 6-7 in view of the sudden surge of new cases in the national capital.
Most of the employees are showing no symptoms of corona. He said: To control the infection, more surprise tests will be done of those who come to Parliament.
Earlier, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had requested all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
On Saturday evening, the national capital reported 20,181 fresh Covid-19 cases, the highest in the past eight months and the highest single-day increase since May 5, 2021, when the cases reached 20,960.
The new cases have taken the number of infections in the city to 15,26,979.
The death toll rose to 25,143 after seven more deaths were recorded.
