    4 people died in the accident, the lieutenant governor had announced compensation

A new revelation has come to light in the incident of fire in a bus carrying pilgrims in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. A terrorist group named ‘Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters’ (JKFF) has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, till date does not confirm this.

A bus carrying pilgrims caught fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra on Saturday. 4 people died in this accident. A local bus number JK 14- 1831 going from Katra to Jammu caught fire near Kharmal, about 1.5 km from Katra.

Soon after the accident, it was reported that the bus caught fire from the engine area. The fire soon engulfed the entire bus. In this incident, 2 persons died on the spot and 22 injured were sent to Katra for treatment. Out of which 3 were referred to Jammu for special treatment when their condition was more serious.

Let us inform that investigation was also being done from the angle of terrorist attack on Katra bus accident. NIA team visited Katra and inspected the bus. The NIA feared that a sticky bomb might have been used to carry out the attack.

The lieutenant governor had announced compensation
The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir had announced compensation for this incident. He had announced an assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate bus accident in Katra and Rs 1 lakh to the seriously injured.
