Digital Desk, Chandigarh. Less than 24 hours after the seizure of 22 kg of heroin in Punjab, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday carried out three operations in Amritsar and Ferozepur sectors, along with arms and ammunition, from near the Pakistan border. and confiscated the consignment.

Officials gave this information on Wednesday. The paramilitary force said that in its relentless fight against arms and narcotics, the BSF thwarted three attempts to smuggle banned items and seized around 7.4 kg of suspected heroin, two pistols and 55 rounds from Ferozepur and Amritsar sectors.

A day earlier, BSF had recovered 22 kg of heroin smuggled from Pakistan in Khemkaran sector in three search operations. Punjab shares a 553 km long international border with Pakistan.
