The CM said that the central government should also take care of the fishermen of the state. After this Tamil Nadu also raised the issue of Hindi, which is an age-old dispute. CM said that Tamil language should also be given equal status to Hindi.

PM Modi greeted by saying ‘Vanakkam’

After this, PM Modi gave a simple answer to the things to CM Stalin. He greeted CM Stalin and the ministers of the state government there by saying ‘Vanakkam’ in Tamil language. He said that the language, culture and people of Tamil Nadu are excellent. Coming here has always been special in itself. PM Modi also read lines from the famous Tamil poet Bharathiyar.

Tamil is an eternal and universal language: PM Modi

While praising Tamil Nadu, PM Modi said that out of 16 Olympic medals, 6 have been won by the players of Tamil Nadu. After this, PM Modi, while replying to CM Stalin on the issue of Hindi-Tamil language, said that Tamil is an eternal and global language. He said that the Government of India is fully committed to the development of Tamil language and culture. The Central Institute of Tamil Language and Culture is being funded by the Government of India.

PM Modi said that in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi’s BHU, a separate branch for Tamil has been started. With this, PM Modi said that all possible help is being given to help Sri Lanka going through difficulty. In international forums too, talks are being held to help Sri Lanka.
