After the Parliament, the Corona bomb (Covid-19 Case in Supreme Court) has exploded in the Supreme Court. 150 people of the registry staff have been found corona infected in the country’s highest court. 4 judges are also included in these infected. Earlier, about 400 employees and security personnel of Parliament have also been found corona infected. In the Supreme Court, out of the total number of 32 judges, including CJI NV Ramana, four judges were corona positive, now the positivity rate has gone up to 12.5%. After 150 people of the staff were found infected, the Delhi Police deployed in the internal security of the court and the Rajasthan Armed Police personnel posted in the external security are also being tested for corona again.

In terms of security, the entire complex including the Supreme Court building is being sanitized. Various measures are being taken so that the cases of corona infection do not increase further in the court.

Hearing will be done on virtual mode only
In view of the increasing cases of corona virus, the Supreme Court had decided to hear completely on virtual mode from 7 January. The Supreme Court has decided to make all its judges work from their residential offices. Apart from this, the Supreme Court had said through a circular that from January 10, only urgent matters, fresh matter, bail matters, detention and due date cases will be listed. In this also, the judges involved in the bench will sit in the office room built in their homes as a court room. His personal staff will assist him in the court work from afar.

The people of the Central Control Room, which conducts the court proceedings electronically, will operate everything from the control room located in the Supreme Court premises. According to the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), the Supreme Court Registry will issue helpline numbers for lawyers on Monday. Lawyers will be able to contact the Registry only through the helpline regarding the admission, status or mentoring of their applications.

Ban on entry of outsider in the registry
Due to Corona, now no outsider will be allowed to enter the Supreme Court Registry other than the staff.

400 employees and security personnel corona infected in parliament
At least 400 employees and security personnel working in Parliament have been found to be corona infected. It is being told that between the last 6 and 7 January, corona infection has been confirmed among the employees working in Parliament. Officials said that between January 4 and 8, out of 1,409 employees of Parliament, 402 staff members got corona. After which their samples have been sent for genome sequencing.
