The death toll is also gaining momentum amid the increasing cases of corona in Delhi. According to the data of the Delhi government, out of 46 deaths in 5 days, 34 have been found to be due to co-morbidities (suffering from serious diseases). This figure is from January 5 to January 9. That is, about 74% of the total deaths during this period have been caused by patients suffering from other serious diseases.
Corona became fatal in Delhi
Of the 46 patients who lost their lives, 28 are men and 18 are women. According to government data, 21 patients with co-morbidities had corona after being admitted to the hospital and they died. Also, out of the 46 corona patients who died, 32 patients were admitted to the ICU. At the same time, there were 37 patients whose oxygen level was less than 94 during hospitalization.
11 people had received both doses of the vaccine
According to the government, out of the 46 patients who died in the last 5 days, 11 patients had received both doses of the vaccine. Of the 46 patients who died between January 5 and January 9, 25 patients were above 60 years of age. The age of 14 patients was between 41 and 60 years. 5 patients were in the age group of 21 to 40 years. One patient ranged from 16 to 20 years and one patient was from zero to 15 years of age.
12 out of 46 patients died on the day of hospitalization, while 11 patients died within a day after hospitalization. 6 patients died within two days, 14 patients died within 3 to 7 days and the remaining 3 patients died within a week.

According to a senior doctor, if a person is suffering from diseases like sugar, cornea, heart, liver, asthma, typhoid, AIDS, dialysis, kidney, anemia, or arthritis, then that patient is said to have co-morbidity.
