The number of judges who got infected with Kovid in the Supreme Court has also doubled in three days. So far four judges have turned out to be Kovid positive. On the other hand, the Parliament building has also come under the grip of Corona virus.

How many cases in Supreme Court?

On Thursday, two judges of the Supreme Court were found to be Kovid positive. Along with this, the Kovid test of all the employees and officers of the registry was done. So far, about 150 employees have been found either corona positive or are in quarantine.

Thus, out of the total number of 32 judges including CJI NV Ramana in the Supreme Court, the positivity rate has now gone up to 12.5% ​​with four judges being Covid positive.

This is a more sensitive issue for the judges of the Supreme Court because most of the judges here are in the age group of 60 to 64 years. Due to being in contact with the public, they are also more vulnerable to infection.

As soon as the transition of judges started, the virtual hearing of the Supreme Court turned into work from home. Now all the judges attend the hearing in the court room built in their official residence. The residence of all the judges and the premises of the Supreme Court have been completely sanitized.

Entry of any outsider other than security personnel and essential staff is prohibited in the Supreme Court premises. CJI NV Ramana on Thursday suspended the physical hearing of the cases for three days a week.

More than 400 cases in Parliament House

Corona has also engulfed the Parliament House. On 6 and 7 January, the corona test of the employees, security personnel working in Parliament was done, out of which the report of more than 400 people has come positive.
