Corona cases are breaking records in Delhi. The infection is also spreading rapidly among the policemen of the capital. According to sources, so far more than 1 thousand policemen have become corona positive. The condition is that senior officers are doing virtual meetings without giving much emphasis on physical meetings.
Many policemen have also been infected in Delhi Police Headquarters, after which everyone has been advised to stay at home. Apart from this, a separate health desk has been set up at the headquarters where all the police personnel are being checked from time to time. However, all the jawans have already received the doses of both the vaccines.
Here, talking about the jails, the infection has spread from prisoners to staff. According to DG Tihar Sandeep Goyal, a total of 46 prisoners (29 in Tihar Jail and 17 in Mandoli Jail) are Corona positive. 43 staff associated with the jail administration (25 from Tihar, 12 from Rohini Jail and 6 from Mandoli Jail) are also in the grip of Kovid. Goyal further said that due to Corona, all the new prisoners are being quarantined. Apart from this, tests are being done for all the prisoners coming to the jail.
Also, if any prison staff or prisoner is found to be corona positive, then the jail administration is also doing their contact tracing so that it does not spread further. At the same time, thermal scanning of all the prisoners, jail staff, medical staff, maintenance staff, is also being done before coming to the jail premises. Along with this, masks have been given to all the prisoners.
Let us inform that there are 2 hospitals in Delhi’s Tihar Jail No.-3 and Mandoli’s Jail No.-13, which are fully Corona Dedicated Hospitals. Apart from this, oxygen plant has also been installed in Delhi jail recently as a precaution.
