However, it is not yet clear that when a large section of doctors and health workers who are currently infected with corona will be given preconception dose. The Union Health Ministry has not clarified whether these health workers will be eligible for precaution doses. If not, how long will they have to wait to get it?

Earlier, in the notification issued by the Ministry of Health, it was said that only those will be eligible for precaution dosage. Those who have a gap of 9 months between the second and third dose. That is, only those who complete the second dose by the first week of April 2021 are still eligible for the precaution dose. NTGAI sources say that whether doctors and health workers who are currently infected with corona should be given precaution doses of the vaccine or not, it will be clear after a few days.

They will not be given precaution dose of vaccine

Persons whose Kovid test has come positive. Such people will have to wait for 3 months for the vaccine.

– Kovid patients who have been given monoclonal antibodies or plasma. His vaccination will be postponed for 3 months from the date of discharge from the hospital.

Persons who have received at least the first dose and have tested positive for COVID before the completion of the dosing schedule, will have to wait 3 months for a second dose after recovery.

Individuals with any other serious general illness requiring hospitalization or ICU care may also have to wait 4-8 weeks to receive the vaccine.

Actually, at present, a large section of medical staff, doctors, nurses in the country have been found to be corona positive. He is either at home or is admitted in the hospital at this time. According to unofficial data, about 300 resident doctors are positive in Delhi’s AIIMS, 165 medical staff were found positive in Safdarjung Hospital till 6 January. At least 90 medical staff are positive in the Jaiprakash Lok Nayak Hospital, the only Omicron-treated Delhi government. While many including junior resident doctors have gone into quarantine.

Health workers did not take second dose of vaccine

According to official figures, if 1.03 crore health workers have taken their first dose, then only 97,41,004 have taken their second dose.

Same is the case with frontline workers. Where 1.83 crore frontline workers have taken the first dose, while only 1.69 crore workers have taken the second dose.
