Covid Third Wave: For the first time in the country amid the third wave, more than 2 lakh cases of corona virus were found within 24 hours. A total of 245,525 Kovid cases and 379 deaths were registered till 12 pm on Thursday. During this 84,479 people have also been cured. Along with this, the number of active cases has increased by 1 lakh 60 thousand 667. Now there have been a total of 11,098,05 active cases.
So far 3 crore 63 lakh 15 thousand 947 people have come under the grip of Kovid in all the states and union territories. Out of these, 3 crore 47 lakh 06 thousand 535 patients have defeated Corona. During this, 4 lakh 85 thousand 036 deaths also occurred.
It is to be known that 46,723 new patients have been found in Maharashtra on Wednesday. During this 32 deaths were also recorded. The number of active cases here increased to 18650 within 24 hours. Now the total active cases in the state has increased to 240122. Whereas on Tuesday, 34,424 cases were reported in the state.
On the other hand, 27,561 new corona cases have been reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours. Along with this, the deaths of 40 patients have also been confirmed within a day. That is, in the first 12 days of January, 133 infected people have died due to corona. Also today the infection rate was recorded at 26.22%. 14,957 people have been discharged in 24 hours. So far, a total of 1505031 people have defeated Corona.
Earlier, more than 21,259 new corona cases were reported in the national capital on Tuesday, 19166 on Monday and 22 thousand on Sunday. The infection rate had reached 25.65, 25 and 23 percent respectively. In the last 8 months, the maximum number of corona cases have been reported on Wednesday only.
Today 21,390 new cases of corona have been reported in Karnataka. At the same time, 15,617 new cases have been registered in Bengaluru. At present the positivity rate in the state is 10.96%. At the same time, active cases are 93,009. There are 73 cases active in Bangalore. Today there is news of death of 10 corona infected. Of these, 6 are from Bangalore. Corona investigation of 1,95,047 people has been done in the last 24 hours.
In Tamil Nadu, 17,934 cases have been reported within 24 hours. There have been 19 deaths during this period. Also today 4039 people have recovered. On Wednesday, 13876 active patients have increased, taking the total active cases in the state to 88959.
In the last 24 hours, 13,592 new cases of corona have been registered in Uttar Pradesh. Of these, maximum 2181 cases have been found in Lucknow. At the same time, 1992 cases have been reported in Noida and 1526 in Ghaziabad. There is news of death of 3 corona infected in 24 hours. The total active cases in UP has gone up to 57355. At the same time, 700 patients have been cured in 24 hours.
There was a huge jump in the cases of Kovid in Kerala. Today 12,742 cases have been registered. A total of 50,254 people have died due to corona infection in the state so far. Most cases have been reported in Thiruvananthapuram, 3498 here, 2214 in Ernakulam, 1164 in Kozhikode, 989 in Thrissur, 941 in Kottayam, 601 in Pathanamthitta, 559 in Kollam, 540 in Kannur, 495 in Palakkad, 463 in Alappuzha, Malappuram 449 cases have been found in Idukki, 367 in Kasaragod and 200 in Wayanad. In the last 24 hours, 72,808 samples were tested.
In the electoral state of Punjab, 6,344 new cases of corona have been reported. Here 10 people have died due to corona infection. Talking about the number of active cases in the state, this figure has reached 26,781.
Today 5476 new cases of corona have been reported in Chhattisgarh. Here 1933 people have recovered and gone home. Today there is news of the death of 4 corona infected. At present, there are 27425 active cases of corona in the state.
These states raised concern
The increasing cases of corona virus in India’s Maharashtra, West Bengal, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat remain a matter of concern. The Union Health Ministry said that the highest positivity rate in the country has been recorded in Maharashtra at 22.39%. Apart from this, the rate is 32.18% in West Bengal, 23.1% in Delhi and 4.47% in UP.
