Delhi Police has registered a case over a fake video that tried to disturb communal harmony on social media. According to the information, during the investigation on social media, it was found that a fake video is being shared by some Twitter handles.

According to the police, after the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat, a video of the cabinet committee meeting held on December 9, 2021 surfaced. He told that this video was easily available on all the news portals and social media platforms.

In such a situation, with the wrong intention of promoting enmity and inciting communal disharmony, this video has been tampered with and a new voiceover has been added. Through which it tried to show that this meeting was against the Sikh community.

Attempts were made to promote enmity between different groups on the basis of religion. Which could have disturbed the peace. Doing so is an offense under section 153A IPC. In such a situation, in view of the seriousness of the matter, Delhi Police has started investigation by registering a case.

The Twitter accounts sharing this video belong to @simrankaur0507 and @eshalkaur1. Delhi Police has urged the general public not to believe such videos and do check before sharing it on social media.
