Delhi Weather Today: Just before Makar Sankranti, the cold has increased in the capital Delhi. Dense fog remained in many areas since this morning, due to which visibility has also decreased. People’s lives have been affected. People are resorting to bonfire to escape from the shivering cold. In this way, Delhi has been hit by a double whammy of fog and cold.
According to the information, dense fog was seen in Palam area of Delhi at 4.30 am today. During this, the visibility remained only from 50 meters to 100 meters. On the other hand, dense fog was seen in the Safdarjung area of the capital during seven in the morning. During this, the visibility here was about 100 meters.
The national capital Delhi witnessed a lot of cold since morning. Cold and fog wreaked havoc in Rajpath and Lajpat Nagar areas. According to the Meteorological Department, today’s minimum temperature in Delhi can be 8 degree Celsius and maximum temperature can be 20 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of fog.
Fog observed (at 0530 hours IST of today): Very dense fog In isolated pockets over Punjab and UP; Dense fog in isolated pockets over Delhi(Palam), Bihar and Tripura and Moderate fog in isolated pockets over Delhi (Safdarjung), North Uttar Pradesh and West Madhya Pradesh.

Apart from this, dense fog was seen in many areas of Punjab and UP on Thursday morning. Visibility was reduced due to fog in remote areas of both the states near 5.30 am this morning. States like Bihar and Tripura also witnessed light fog in the morning.
Visibility was 200 meters or less in Bathinda, Punjab at 5.30 am today. There was a visibility of 25 meters in Amritsar and Bahraich. Apart from this, visibility remained around 200 meters due to fog in Bareilly, Gwalior, Guna, Gorakhpur and Agartala.
