The Haridwar district administration of Uttarakhand has banned the bathing of devotees and devotees on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Har Ki Pauri due to increasing cases of corona infection, not allowed. The government has banned bathing in the Ganges at all the ghats of Haridwar as well as Rishikesh.

At present, in view of the increasing cases of corona in the entire country, the District Election Officer has banned Ganga bath.

The district administration also banned the entry of outsiders and local people to the Har Ki Pauri area along with a ban on bathing in the Ganges on the festival of Makar Sankranti. The District Magistrate has said in this regard that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the order.
