Here, expressing displeasure over the slow progress of the works, he asked to complete the work at the earliest. Giving the final notice to the contractor immediately, directed the officials to complete the work before August 15. Under the drain cleaning campaign, the corporation commissioner is constantly taking stock of the cleanliness system. The old drains are being cleaned and connected with big drains. In this sequence, on Thursday, inspected the drain cleaning going on near Math Mandir Chowk. He directed that the drains should be cleaned properly. Its connection reached to big drains.
On the instructions of the commissioner, the work of cleaning the drains was started even before the onset of monsoon. Where there is no source of water, temporary drains are also being constructed. The drainage system is already being built. Special attention is being paid to low-lying settlements. All the sanitation resources have been deployed for cleaning the drains so that the situation of water logging is not created during the rainy days. Assistant Engineer SR Sinha, Vijay Mehra Deputy Engineer Kamta Nagendra, Kamlesh Thakur, Lomas Devangan were present during the inspection.

In-charge health officer Sachindra Thwait said that the drains located in 40 wards of the city are being cleaned regularly every day. Drains are being cleaned by JCB, tractor and other means. If there is any problem then people can come directly to the Municipal Corporation and complain. The system will be improved.
