Police said that two Pakistani terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar, who had recently infiltrated into India, were trapped by the security forces in the ongoing encounter.
J&K Police in a tweet quoted Inspector General of Police, (Kashmir Zone), Vijay Kumar as saying, two Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba who infiltrated recently, Salinder on 11/5/22 Those who had escaped from an anti-terrorist operation in the forest area were traced. Acting on specific information about the presence of terrorists, a joint team of security forces cordoned off the area and after launching a search operation, exchange of fire broke out between the terrorists and the security forces. As the security forces reached the spot where the terrorists were hiding, they came under heavy fire, triggering an encounter.
