Exclusive platform for innovators. Special platform for innovators in new initiative of Ministry of Education

Digital Desk, New Delhi. 75 innovative technologies selected from various programs like National Innovation Competition, Smart India Hackathon, Yukti 2.0 and Toycathon will be e-exhibited by the Ministry of Education from 10th January.

The Ministry of Education, AICTE and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry are jointly organizing National Innovation Week from 10-16 January 2022 to celebrate the 75th year of Progressive India as the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi.

This innovation week will prominently highlight the various initiatives taken by these agencies to spread awareness to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in India.

A 2-day e-seminar on Building Innovative Ecosystem in Educational Institutions will be organized by the Ministry of Education on 11th and 12th January 2022. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will attend the e-seminar.

The event will be conducted virtually and will see wide participation from academic institutions, schools, industry, start-ups and the investor community.

The proposed seminar highlights key aspects of creating an innovation ecosystem like investment, mentoring etc and we are confident that this seminar will encourage our educational institutions to focus on building innovative ecosystem within their campuses.

Considering the steady increase in the number of start-ups in India, concerted efforts to build an overall innovative culture, will pave the way for a self-reliant India and a $5 trillion economy as envisioned by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education said, “The Innovation Week is an opportunity for all innovators to showcase their work and inspire young minds to take their entrepreneurial journey more seriously. There is an opportunity for India to emerge as a global innovation and start-up hub.

As the Innovation Cell, we are launching multiple innovation, entrepreneurship related initiatives and through this seminar we would like to encourage our educational institutions to work together with us, to create a unique environment within the campus. To establish a sustainable ecosystem.

Eminent industry leaders, emerging unicorn founders, investors and policy makers will join as key speakers and panelists to share their thoughts and perspectives on various aspects of innovation and start-ups.

Special panel sessions will be conducted with selected panelists and student innovators from early stage start-up founders who will motivate school children and youth to take up innovation and entrepreneurship as a career option.

The objective of the program is to sensitize and attract partners of innovation and start-up ecosystem in educational institutions.
