Digital Desk, Patna. In Bihar’s Madhepura district, the police have registered an FIR against an elderly person for taking 12 doses of corona vaccine.
The FIR has been registered under sections 419, 420 and 188 of the IPC on a written complaint given by the in-charge of a primary health center at Puraini.
Confirming this, Madhepura SP Rajesh Kumar said, an elder named Brahm Dev Mandal has been accused of cheating. He has got the vaccines done from February 13, 2021 to January 4, 2022 using different proofs of identity. Mandal has also violated the guidelines of Corona.
Madhepura Civil Surgeon Abdul Salam said, “We have constituted a three-member committee to probe the matter. After the report, we will inform the health ministry about it.
He said that there was no mistake on his part. Mandal, a native of ward number 8 of Aurai area of Madhepura, claimed that it was the negligence of the state health department.
Mandal said, since the vaccine is useful for fighting corona as well as improving my immunity to fight other diseases, I did not make any mistake by taking 12 doses. I didn’t have any bad intentions.
He said, how the health department gave 12 doses, it is negligence on their part. Department officials are trying to hide their failure and accuse me.
