digital desk, Mumbai. A pushback truck caught fire in a horrific accident while preparing to take out an aircraft at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA). Officials gave this information on Monday.

The incident took place when the big truck collided with the plane before it was ready to push back an Air India Mumbai-Jamnagar flight with 85 passengers.

However, as the flames were seen coming out, an airport fire brigade team managed to douse the blaze on the pushback truck within barely 10 minutes, an official said.

There were no casualties or damage to AI’s A320 aircraft or anyone, however with a quick response a potentially major threat was averted and all operations at CSMIA continued as normal.
