Digital Desk, New Delhi. UNESCO will publish the Hindi description of World Heritage Sites in India on its World Heritage Center website. This decision has been taken by UNESCO on World Hindi Day. This step of UNESCO will further encourage the popularity of Indian languages on the global stage.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has welcomed this decision of UNESCO. The Union Education Minister said that the decision of UNESCO to publish the Hindi description of World Heritage Sites of India on its World Heritage Center website on World Hindi Day is a matter of pride for every Indian and Hindi lover. It is welcome and encouraging to see the popularity of Indian languages on the global stage.
It is worth noting that on the occasion of World Hindi Day, the Director of UNESCO World Heritage Center has informed that UNESCO World Heritage Center has agreed to publish the Hindi description of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India on its website.
The Permanent Delegation of India in Paris organized a virtual celebration of World Hindi Day on January 10, 2022. In fact, the Ministry of Education believes that India’s cultural, social and economic glory in the emerging new world order will be ensured only when we We will keep our native languages- mother tongue paramount.
In the new National Education Policy for nation building, special emphasis is being laid on removing language barriers and studying in mother tongue. Under this, Hindi will also be taught to students and teachers of remote regions. States like Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram are starting Kendriya Hindi Sansthan. This institute will work for the teachers of Hindi and the people of Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram states who want to learn and research in the language. This is a new beginning made under the new education policy.
It is worth noting that one of the most important features of the NEP is that the NEP-2020 emphasizes on providing education in the mother tongue at the primary level. Now the government is trying to achieve this target within the stipulated time frame.
