Digital Desk, Srinagar. Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar, along with senior police officials, visited South Kashmir on Thursday to review the security and operational aspects.
In view of upcoming events on Republic Day, IGP Kashmir while reviewing the security scenario directed the officials to intensify the blockade probe and take strict security measures so that anti-peace elements do not get any chance.
Apart from this, he also directed to increase search of suspicious vehicles/persons at Naka points and to increase night patrolling with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Army in all sensitive areas of their respective districts. IGP Kashmir also directed the officers to pay special attention and focus on preventive intelligence apart from enhancing counter-insurgency operations.
Keeping in view the increase in the cases of Kovid, IGP Kashmir also directed the officers to implement the Kovid SOP, so that the spread of Kovid infection can be prevented from spreading rapidly.
