A proposal for changes in the budget of the Agriculture Department for the financial year 2020-21 has been prepared by the Government of Jharkhand Hemant Soren. According to this proposal, preparations are being made to discontinue the ambitious ‘Chief Minister Ashirwad Yojana’ of the previous Raghuvar government. Preparations have been made to use the amount spent under this scheme in the loan waiver scheme of the farmers. The farmers of the state have welcomed this decision of the Jharkhand government.

Eligibility for Jharkhand Agriculture Loan Waiver Scheme
To get the benefit of Jharkhand Kisan Karz Mafi Yojana, its prescribed eligibility is as follows –
- It will be mandatory for the farmer to be a resident of Jharkhand.
- The farmer has taken a loan from a cooperative bank or any registered bank.
- There will be no provision for waiver of loans taken after elections or at the time of elections.
- The loan of any private bank will not be waived.
- This loan will be waived only related to agriculture, the loan taken for tube well or well is not kept in the purview of waiver.
- Loans taken for agricultural equipment will not be waived.
