A big negligence has come to the fore in Banihal of Jammu and Kashmir. The newborn girl who was declared dead by the hospital, when the family took her for burial, she came out alive. In this case, the police has assured proper action, while the nurse and sweeper of the hospital have been suspended by the BDO.

This incident is being told of the sub-district hospital where Basharat Ahmed’s wife gave birth to a daughter. But the doctors then told the family that their daughter was born dead. So the family took that girl for burial.

But while they were taking the newborn for burial, a family member saw the baby moving. Seeing this, the other members were immediately informed and then the newborn was taken to the hospital again. But that hospital referred the newborn to Srinagar for better treatment.

After this negligence, the family of the newborn is angry. They are making serious allegations against the hospital administration. On reaching the spot, the police have tried to convince the family, assurance has also been given that strict action will be taken against the culprits. So far, nurse Sumina, Safai Karamchari Hazra have been suspended in this case. After the investigation, action can be taken against more people.

By the way, in this case it is not yet clear at whose level the negligence was, how the doctors did not know about the newborn being alive. Regarding all these questions, the family is raising serious questions on the attitude of the hospital. The family also claims that the delivery was normal and the mother was healthy, so on what basis the newborn was declared dead. Right now the hospital administration is refraining from speaking anything openly on this matter.
