Kanya Sumangala Yojana
Starting from the birth of a girl child, the girl will get financial assistance from this scheme in 6 installments. There are a total of 6 categories upon whose fulfillment the girl child will get the financial assistance. The main objective behind this scheme is to support and empower girl children of the state.
Required Documents
- To get the benefit of Kanya Sumangala Yojana, it is necessary for the girl to have an Aadhar card.
- The girl should have a birth certificate.
- The bonafide certificate from the school in which the girl is studying.
- It is mandatory to affix the photograph of the parents along with the daughter on the application form.
- Photocopy of Aadhar card of parents and daughter is to be attached with the application form.

Kanya Sumangala Yojana Categories
There are different categories of the Kanya Sumangala scheme from which the beneficiaries can take advantage.
Category 1- For Newborn Girl Child
- Under this category, applications will be taken for the girl child born on or after April 1, 2019.
- Under this, it is mandatory to apply within 6 months from the date of birth of the girl child.
- It is mandatory for the applicant to upload the birth certificate of the girl child.
- It is mandatory to upload the Certificate of Institutional Delivery Registration and Affidavit.
Category 2 – For Girls Who Have Completed Vaccination
- Uploading of vaccination card.
- The affidavit has to be uploaded.
Category 3 – For Girls Admitted In Class 1
- After taking admission in any government, aided, or recognized school, it is mandatory to submit the application by 31st July of the same year or within 45 days from the last date of admission in the school (whichever is later).
- U-DISE code of the school or school code for the girl child to take admission in class 1.
- The affidavit has to be uploaded.
Category 4 – For Girls Admitted In Class 6
- After taking admission in any government, aided, or recognized school, it is mandatory to submit the application by 31st July of the same year or within 45 days from the last date of admission in the school (whichever is later).
- U-DISE code of the school or school code for the girl child to take admission in class 6th.
- The affidavit has to be uploaded.
Category 5 – For Girls Admitted In Class 9
- After taking admission in a government, aided, or recognized school, it is mandatory to submit the application by 30 September of the same year or within 45 days from the last date of registration in the board (whichever is later).
- U-DISE code of the school or school code for the girl child to take admission in class 9.
- The affidavit has to be uploaded.
Category 6 – For Girls Who Have Passed 10th/12th & Admitted in Graduation/Diploma
- It is mandatory to submit the application after taking admission in, degree and two years diploma by 30th September of the same year or within 45 days from the last date of registration in the current session (whichever is later).
- 12th class certificate
- A photocopy of the receipt of admission fee and identity card of the institution for admission to graduation, degree, and two-year diploma in any college, university, other educational institution.
- The affidavit has to be uploaded.
Eligibility for Kanya Sumangala Yojana
- Under Kanya Sumangala Yojana, only the girls of Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of the scheme.
- The daughter’s parents should not be government servants
- It is mandatory for the girl to be studying in the school
Kanya Sumangala Yojana Apply Online
- To apply online under Kanya Sumangala Yojana, go to https://mksy.up.gov.in.
- Now you have to go to the ‘Quick Links’ section and click on ” Apply Here” under the “Citizen Services Portal” option.
- On the new page, click on the “I agree” box and then click on “Continue”.
- Now a new page will open in which the applicant will have to register.
- Enter the required details like your name, family details, etc, and create a password.
- Enter your mobile number and generate the OTP.
- After entering the correct OTP, the applicant will be registered and you will get a User ID. Password will remain the same as chosen
- Fill in all the information correctly and upload all the requested documents. Finally submit the form and note down the application number.
- By doing this your Kanya Sumangala online application will be completed.
