Digital Desk, Kanpur. Khushi Dubey, widow of Amar Dubey, a slain aide of gangster Vikas Dubey, has alleged that she was illegally detained by Kanpur police for four days after the Bikru incident. Khushi has given an application in this regard during her appearance in the special judge, POCSO court in Kanpur.
Khushi has filed an application in the court for registration of a case against the police personnel alleging torturing her by keeping her in illegal custody for four days. She said she came to know about this recently after getting a copy of the case diary, which showed her arrest on July 8, while the police had forcibly taken her away from her home on July 4.
His lawyer Shivkant Dixit told that the widow of Amar Dubey, who was killed in the encounter in the Bikru case, has also been made an accused. His case is being heard by the Special Judge, POCSO Court, Kanpur Dehat.
Dixit further said that the hearing regarding framing of charges against the accused, including Amar Dubey’s widow, was to be held in the court on Monday, but he urged the court to register a case against the culprits. He claimed that he was tortured by police personnel by illegally keeping him in custody for four days. Khushi was a minor at the time of the incident and arrest. The court has now fixed January 25 for the next hearing in the matter.
