- Money wasted in film promotion
Filmmaker Anees Bazmee is one of the well-known directors in the film industry. In a recent interview, Anees Bazmee spoke openly on the films being postponed due to Kovid-19. Films like ‘RRR’ and ‘Jersey’ were promoted at the grand level, which cost a lot of money. Anees Bazmee says that all the money spent in the promotion of both these films was wasted. Along with this, there has been an increase in the budget due to Kovid-19.
Anees said this
Anees Bazmee’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ is going to be released in theaters on March 25. Although, till now the release of the film has not been postponed, but if there is a continuous increase in the cases of coronavirus, then the release of Anees’s film can also be postponed. Karthik Aryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu will be seen in lead roles in the film.
In a conversation with India Today, Anees Bazmee talked about the filmmakers whose films have been postponed. Anees said, “Watch films like RRR and Jersey. All the money spent in promoting these films was wasted. They will have to promote the film again. If seen, it is a big loss. People are promoting the film these days. There have also been fears about doing it. Despite the promotion, the filmmakers had to postpone the film. If they promote the same film again and again, then the craze of films will end in the public. It takes a lot to create magic around a film. It takes hard work and public interest will be lost if promotions happen again.”
Anees Bazmee has worked with Raj Kapoor, shared experiences
