- 27 people lost their lives in the accident, 12 people were injured in the fire
The building in which the fire broke out in Delhi’s Mundka was not up to the standards of building safety. This has been disclosed by Fire Chief Officer Atul Garg. He told Aaj Tak/India Today that the factory where the fire broke out had not received NOC from the fire department. He said that most of the factories running in Mundka are operating without NOC. That is, all factories are being run by keeping rules and regulations in mind.
Delhi Chief Fire Officer Atul Garg said that for NOC, the MCD or the building authority first sends the drawings to us. But MCD has not sent this case to us till date. MCD should have sent it to us for NOC. He said that most of the factories here are running in this way.
It is being told that there was no security guard there. Along with this, there was only one entry point. On the other hand, DCP S Sharma said that we have detained the company owners. However, the police later arrested both of them. Also, an FIR has been registered in this case.
This is not the first incident of fire in Mundka. Such accidents have happened before as well. In which many people have lost their lives.
