Let us inform that recently the Supreme Court had cleared the way for the introduction of NEET counseling while upholding the decision of the Center to provide 10 percent reservation for EWS, 27 percent for OBCs in NEET UG and PG. After which the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has also issued a notice regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG, PG Counseling 2021. In the notice issued by the MCC, the students were informed about the decision of the Supreme Court. Also assured that the counseling schedule will be released soon on the official website mcc.nic.in.
The court will hold a detailed hearing in this matter in the month of March. The Center and the Medical Consultative Committee (MCC)’s July 29 notification to provide 27 per cent reservation to OBCs and 10 per cent to EWS students in the All India Quota medical seats was challenged through a petition in the Supreme Court.
Let us inform that due to the delay in NEET Counselling, the admissions for the new session were stuck. During the Corona period, the workload on the resident doctors working in hospitals was increasing, due to which the doctors had protested against the central government in the past.
