Digital Desk, New Delhi. Corona cases are increasing continuously in the world. A vaccination campaign is also being run for this. Even though there is confusion among people about whether a mother feeding a newborn baby should be given a dose of the vaccine. But in the meantime, a research has claimed that not only the mother is getting the benefit of the vaccine but also her newborn baby.
A report by the University of Massachusetts Amherst has claimed that mothers who have fed their newborn baby after getting the corona vaccine. Antibodies have been found in the body of those children. Which will help the babies to fight against Corona. In fact, it has been claimed in the report that antibodies named SARS-CoV-2 have been found in the body of newborns.
From this, scientists have guessed that not only the mother is getting the benefit of vaccination but also the babies. The report, published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, claims that there is no risk to new mothers and their newborn from the vaccination.
Most of the US health workers were included in this research. In which there were 30 such lactating women who were administered the dose of Kovid-19 mRNA vaccine between January and April 2021. The report said that before the vaccine was administered, two to three weeks after their first dose and three weeks after the second dose, the women’s milk samples were taken.
In this research, blood samples of women and stool samples of the infant were also taken at different times. Which was used in research. And in research, it was found that in breast milk samples taken, anti-RBD IgG antibodies were found to neutralize SARS-CoV-2 as well as four types of protein spikes.
Also, the author of the research, Vignesh Narayanaswamy, found in this research that women who felt sick after getting the vaccine. More antibodies have been seen in their children.
