Digital Desk, New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted a search operation in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy, Medak and Secunderabad, in which three people were arrested.
The arrested people have been identified as Dongari Devendra, Dubasi Swapna and Chukka Shilpa. They were allegedly involved in motivating and recruiting youth for the banned outfit CPI (Maoist).
The case pertains to the conspiracy and recruitment of a college student into CPI (Maoist) by members of Chaitanya Mahila Sangham (CMS). CMS is a flagship organization of CPI (Maoist).
The case was initially registered on January 3 at Peddabayalu PS, Andhra Pradesh. Later, on June 3, the NIA re-registered the case and took over the investigation.
“Incriminating material including digital devices have been seized during the searches conducted on Thursday,” the NIA official said.
