This time four personalities of the country have been given Padma Vibhushan, 17 people have been given Padma Bhushan and 107 people have been given Padma Shri. In December last year, the country lost its first CDS Bipin Rawat. He was killed in a helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Now to salute his bravery, he will be awarded Padma Vibhushan posthumously by the government. Apart from him, this time the government is also going to posthumously award Padma Vibhushan to former UP Chief Minister and BJP veteran Kalyan Singh. He too passed away last year due to ill health.
