Digital Desk, New Delhi. Delhi is likely to remain partly cloudy on Tuesday evening and night. This information was given by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). While the maximum temperature will be 19 degrees Celsius, the minimum is expected to be 7 degrees.

While the Safdarjung observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal, both Palam and Lodhi Gardens recorded a drop of 7 and 7.3 degrees, respectively, on Tuesday morning. Palam also recorded 100 meters visibility due to fog. The relative humidity was recorded at 100 per cent at 8.30 am.

As per the forecast, dense fog and maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 20 and 8 degrees Celsius in the national capital this week. Meanwhile, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) will remain in the good category of 93.

Till 10 am, the levels of both PM 2.5 and PM 10 pollutants were recorded in satisfactory category of 34 and 62 respectively. The weather bulletin said the air quality is likely to remain in the poor to very poor category on January 12 and in the poor to very poor category on January 13.
