Digital Desk, New Delhi. Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, I pay tribute to the great Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. His life was devoted to national upliftment. He has inspired many youths to work towards nation building. Let us keep working together to fulfill their dreams for the country.
Remembering Swami Vivekananda, Naidu tweeted, “My humble tributes to the great son of this earth, Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. Swamiji was a visionary spiritual leader and an eminent ambassador of India. Through his noble thoughts and exemplary eloquence, he attracted the attention of the world to the rich cultural heritage of India.
Naidu said, Swamiji played an important role in instilling the spirit of nationalism among Indians. He was an ardent supporter of universal brotherhood and believed in the upliftment of humanity. Swamiji’s teachings are priceless and an eternal source of guidance for humanity. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 25th National Youth Festival on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.
On Tuesday evening, the Prime Minister had tweeted, “Tomorrow, on the special occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, I will address the 25th National Youth Festival to be held in Puducherry. The program will start at 11 am. The aim of the festival is to shape the thinking of the youth of India and transform them into a united force for nation building. It is one of the greatest exercises in social unity and intellectual and cultural integration. Its aim is to bring together the diverse cultures of India and integrate them into one formula of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
