India made its debut in the Asia Cup 2022 in a spectacular fashion. Team India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 5 wickets in the very first match. The team started well under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, but questions were raised about the playing XI that was fielded. Especially the non-inclusion of star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was shocking and questionable. Now the eyes are on the match against Hong Kong and before that Pant showed great batting skills. He even showed off the trademark shot of MS Dhoni.

Now whether he will get a chance or not, it is not in the hands of the player. The only thing in the hands of any player is to prepare himself. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant is also busy in keeping himself ready for any occasion. A day before the match against Hong Kong, Pant spent a lot of time in Team India’s net practice and made a flurry of his destructive shots.

Helicopter shot at Chahar

Pant’s favorite shots like flicks, pulls, drives and sweeps impressed everyone, but the one that grabbed the most attention was the former India captain Dhoni’s trademark shot. The 24-year-old Indian keeper showed his strong wrists in the same style as Dhoni and hit a tremendous helicopter shot. The special thing is that for this, Pant targeted Dhoni’s fellow bowler Deepak Chahar in the IPL.

Chahar’s yorker ball attempt failed and Pant, without moving the lower full toss, blew it towards midwicket by only rotating the wrists. Chahar also looked surprised by this shot.
