About Rythu Bandhu Scheme
Rythu Bandhu, also known as Farmer’s Invest Support Scheme(FISS) is a welfare scheme launched by the Government of Telangana. The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekhar Rao at the Farmers Coordination Committee (Rythu Samanvaya Samithi) conference at Jayashankar Agriculture University on 25 February 2018. The scheme came to implementation on 10 May 2018 and a budget of Rs.12,000 crores was finalized for the year 2018-19.
Rythu Bandhu became the first-ever Indian farmer investment support, where the cash is directly paid to the farmer. Under this scheme, the farmers around the state are given Rs.5000 per acre twice a year. The aim of this scheme is to provide monetary help for investment to the farmer. An amount of Rs.5000 per acre of agricultural land in two seasons, Rabi and Kharif are set. This means, if a farmer has 1 acre of land, he or she will get an amount of Rs.10,000 totally per year. The Rythu Bandhu money will be given to the farmers in the form of a check.

Rythu Bandhu Amount Details
The Rythu Bandhu scheme under Govt. of Telangana provides a monetary help of Rs.5000 per acre twice a year. Two times in the year, during Rabi and Kharif, every farmer will receive a cheque. There is no limit set for the number of acres for land. If a farmer has a large piece of land and the amount exceeds Rs.49,000, then they will receive the remaining amount in a second check. The farmers can use this amount to buy seeds for their crops, and also pesticides, fertilizers, etc.

Eligibility Criteria For TS Rythu Bandhu
If you want to benefit from the FISS scheme of Telangana, these are the eligibility criteria. If you are not falling under the eligible candidates, you won’t get any monetary support.
- The beneficiary must be a permanent resident of Telangana to get FISS.
- If you want to register for Rythu Bandhu, you must be able to prove your ownership of the land.
- The farmer should be falling under the below-poverty line. Only small and marginal farmers are the target.
- If you are a State or Central government employee, you are excluded from the scheme.
