Yono App is an Android mobile application for SBI customers. Many people must be wondering what is the full name of Yono? So let me tell you that its full form is You Only Need One (YONO). The purpose of launching this is to provide different types of services of SBI Bank in one place. This app can be used by both types of customers, whether they are new or old customers of SBI bank.
It has been launched by the Finance Minister of India Arun Jaitley on 24 November 2017. You can download this app from Play Store for free and start using it after completing the registration. YONO app has 100 e-commerce companies like Amazon, Mantra, Uber, Yatra, Jabong, and Byjus. Also, 100 services can be used in one place.
Benefits of YONO SBI App
There are many benefits of SBI bank’s YONO app, due to which many people are taking advantage of it by using it. Here, I am presenting some benefits in front of you of this app, which is as follows:
- After opening an account on the Yona app, you will get all the facilities of the bank.
- Once the account is opened, you will get a Platinum Debit Card.
- Through Platinum Debit, you can withdraw up to 1 lakh rupees in a day.
- If you open an account with YONO App, then accident insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh is given.
- Digitally, you can open a new SBI Account in just 5 minutes.
- You will not need to go to the bank for a money transfer.
- A personal loan can also be taken without paperwork through this medium.
- Overdraft facility against FD.
- Facility to buy insurance available.

How to Download YONO SBI App?
You can download the YONO SBI app by going to the Google Play Store. If you want, you can also download this app by visiting the YONO SBI website. For this you have to:
- First of all, open the Google Play Store on your phone. Now you have to search by typing YONO SBI in the top search bar.
- As soon as you click on Search. YONO SBI App will open in front of you, there you can download YONO App by clicking on the “Install” button.
How to Register for Account on SBI YONO?
After downloading the YONO SBI app, now you have to register your account in the YONO app. Only by doing this, you can use it. Follow the below procedure to register your account.
First of all open the YONO app, which after opening looks as given in the image below.
To use the YONO app, here you will see 3 options.

- New to SBI
- Existing Customer
- I have Activation Code
Here you will see the option of Existing Customer, click on it. By clicking on it, this type of window will open in front of you. In which 3 options will appear:

- Register with my ATM Card
- Register with Account Details
- Login using Internet Banking ID
You can register in the YONO app by choosing any one of these 3 options. We will learn about it one by one.
Register with ATM Card
If you do not have a Net Banking facility, then no problem. You can activate Net-banking online using your Debit card. If we select Register with ATM Card, then its window opens like this.
Here you have to enter the CIF number written in your passbook. After this, you have to enter the account number and click on submit option. If you have an internet banking ID then it displays a message “Customer is already enabled for internet banking” Thus you cannot use the YONO app by using this option.
Register with Account Details
By selecting this option it opens something like this:
Here you can enter the YONO app by completing 3 steps-
By clicking on the Continue option, it opens something like this. Where it asks for the account number and date of birth. After entering these two, we click on the submit option. But if you have an internet banking id, then it displays a message “Customer is already enabled for internet banking” thus you cannot use this app by using this option.
Login using Internet Banking ID
We can use this type of option only if we have a net banking id password. I am going to give you complete information about this. Because most people have a net banking ID and password these days.
As soon as you click on Login using internet Banking Id, you will be shown this type of window. In this, you have to click on the “Yes” option.
On clicking yes, the following type of dialog box will be displayed. In which you have to enter User Name and Password. After entering both the things click on the submit option.
By doing this you will have another window show in which you have to give your consent i.e. consent.
If you want to use MPIN to login instead of Password, then read the Terms and Conditions of MPIN thoroughly and after reading this you click on the Next button.
Here you will have to create a PIN, this PIN will be numeric (like 123456) which you will use to access the Yono app in the future. After creating a pin here, click on the Next button.
After this, an OTP (One Time Password) will come on your registered mobile number. Which you have to enter here and click on the Next button. By doing this a message of login successfully will appear on your screen.
You are now registered on the YONO app, and ready to use it.
Now open the login screen and enter your MPIN to login into it. You can also use Netbanking User ID and Password to log in.
How to Send Money through YONO SBI App?
To send money to someone’s account from the YONO app, first, open YONO SBI App. After that login into your account by entering the pin.
After login, you click on the Fund Transfer option of the YONO SBI App. Now click on the option of Pay A Beneficiary at the bottom. Now, you have to enter your Internet Banking Password and click on Confirm.
After confirming here you will get three options, out of these select the option through which you want to send money. For example, by selecting the account option, from the account number, click on the Next button.
Now enter the details of the person you want to send money to. After that, an OTP will come on your number which is registered in the bank, type it and click on Next. By doing this you will get the message of Your Transaction Is Successful. It means your money has been transferred.
