Digital Desk, New Delhi. The central government listed 32 bills for passage in Parliament this monsoon session, but there is little sign of completion due to a face-off with the opposition on the issue of increased GST rates and inflation.

During the monsoon session so far, the Lok Sabha has worked for about 16 hours and the Rajya Sabha for 11 hours. As per the schedule, both the houses will work for six hours every day.

Four Lok Sabha members and 23 Rajya Sabha members have been suspended due to the face-off between the BJP and the opposition. Amidst the uproar, the government approved the Anti-Doping Bill and the Family Court Bill in the Lok Sabha.

Now, government sources say that they are ready to discuss the issue of price hike, but the opposition is not ready to bow down. Due to which the chances of smooth functioning of the Houses are very less. Congress has called for a nationwide protest on August 5 against inflation.

The government insisted that it was ready for discussion. Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal said, “We are ready for discussion, but despite this opposition members are repeatedly disrupting the proceedings of the House.” We have been saying that we hope that as soon as the Finance Minister recovers, the price hike will be discussed.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted, “It is clear from the suspension of opposition MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha that the Modi government is in no mood to allow the opposition to raise the real, urgent issues being faced by the people of our country in Parliament.” Is.
