Strong tremors of earthquake have been felt in Jammu and Kashmir. The intensity of this earthquake, which occurred in the evening, has been measured at 5.1. The epicenter of this earthquake has been the Faganistan-Tajikistan border. So far no loss of life or property has been reported and there is no news of any kind of damage.
As soon as the tremors of the earthquake were felt, people immediately came out of their homes. According to the people, the ground shook very fast, due to which everyone got scared. The depth of this earthquake was 216 km and because of the epicenter being the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, the tremors were felt up to Kashmir. Earlier on December 27, there was an earthquake in Kashmir. Then its intensity was 5.3. The epicenter was then in the Astor area of Gilgit-Baltistan. That earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.
At that time also there was no damage due to the earthquake, this time also only the tremors were strong but there was no news of damage. Now because Kashmir is a mountainous area, there is always a risk of earthquake here. Experts also believe that a big earthquake can occur in this area.
