Digital Desk, Jaipur. Rajasthan is in the grip of severe heat as almost all its districts have recorded temperatures above 45 degrees in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 13 out of 33 districts have recorded temperatures of 47 degrees or more, forcing people to confinement in their homes to escape the scorching sun. Sriganganagar recorded the highest temperature in the state at 48.1 degrees Celsius, while Karauli and Baran stood second at 47.8 degrees Celsius, making them the three hottest places in the state.
Pilani recorded 47.7 degrees, Jaisalmer 47.5 degrees, Bikaner 47.4 degrees, Dholpur 47.6 degrees, Bundi 47 degrees, Kota 47.2 degrees and Hanumangarh 47.1 degrees. The IMD has predicted wind speed around Jaipur after 24 hours, which will bring some relief as the temperature will drop by two to three degrees Celsius.
