Digital Desk, New Delhi. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday warned of heavy rain, thundershowers in east and adjoining central India till January 14.

The IMD said that light to moderate rainfall is likely over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim and Odisha till January 14, with isolated rain likely to continue over Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh during the next two days and After that it will decrease. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha on 11th and 13th January, lightning and hail likely over Vidarbha on 13th January, thunderstorms over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal on 11th January There is a possibility of rain, and on January 12, it may rain in Sikkim and Telangana.

The IMD has also forecast very widespread rainfall and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh during 11-13 January and isolated rain likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 12 and 13 January. Rainfall recorded in all states in 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Monday

Himachal Pradesh: Kandaghat – 8 cm, Dharampur, Solan, 7 cm at Pakkajhar, Rajgarh, Bharmour, Khadrala, Kasauli, Sangraha, Shimla airport, 6 at Sirmaur, Arki, Naina Davi, Baldwara, Jattam barrage, Sindarnagar, 5 at Nahan Semi, Banjar, Kothi, Sarahan, Shimla, Mandi, Rampur, Karsog, Gohar, Manali received 4 cm of rain.

Madhya Pradesh: Powai (Dist. Panna) 6 cm, Venkatanagar (Dist. Anuppur) 6 cm, Gonour (Dist. Panna) 4 cm, Bakswaha (Dist. Chhatarpur) 4 cm.

Uttar Pradesh – Bijnor, Moradabad – 6 cm, Amroha – 5 cm, Nakur – 4 cm, Chitrakoot – 4 cm.

Haryana: Yamuna Nagar, Panchkula – 5 cms, Ambala – 4 cms, Chandigarh – 3 cms.

Uttarakhand: Dehradun – 3 cms.

There was sporadic hailstorm in Vidarbha.
