The name of Kevadiya railway station in Gujarat has been changed. Kevadiya Railway Station will now be known as Ekta Nagar Railway Station. The place where the Statue of Unity, known as the world’s tallest statue, is located, is known as Kevadiya Colony. By developing the area around the Statue of Unity, separate buildings, malls and nurseries and gardens have been built here. Whose names start with unity. This is because Sardar Patel’s birthday is also celebrated as Ekta Diwas.
Therefore, using the word unity, now the place where the Statue of Unity was built in the name of Kevadiya Colony, will now be known as Ekta Nagar. It has started in the name of Kevadiya railway station.
Public Relations Officer Pradeep Sharma said that according to the information issued by the Ministry of Railways, the name of Kevadiya railway station located on Vadodara division will now be Ekta Nagar. The Co-EKNR and numerical code of this station will be 08224620.
In fact, this place was earlier known as Kevadiya, where the Sardar Sarovar Dam was built by the Narmada Corporation. A society was formed at this place which was known as Kevadiya Colony. Along with the dam, there was nothing here except Kevadiya Colony. Now it is becoming a center of tourist attraction and that railway station has now been shifted from Kevadiya Colony to Ekta Nagar.
