The number of Omicron cases in India is 3,623. Omicron cases rise to 3,623 in India

Digital Desk, New Delhi. After 552 new cases of Omicron were reported in India in the last 24 hours, the total number of victims of this infectious variant has increased to 3,623. The Union Health Ministry said on Sunday that 1,409 of these people have been cured so far. According to the ministry, this variant has so far spread to 27 states and union territories, with Maharashtra and Delhi being the most affected. Maharashtra has reported 1,009 Omicron cases and 439 of them have been discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, the number of Omicron cases in Delhi has gone up to 513 out of which 57 have been cured.

Other states affected by Omicron include Karnataka (441), Rajasthan (373), Kerala (333), Gujarat (204), Tamil Nadu (185), Haryana and Telangana (123 each) and Uttar Pradesh (113), Odisha (60), Andhra States (28), Punjab (27), West Bengal (27) and Goa (19) are included. Apart from these, there are fewer cases of Omicron in Madhya Pradesh and Assam (nine nine each), Uttarakhand (eight); Meghalaya (four); Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands (3 each); Puducherry (two); One each has been recorded in Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Manipur and Chhattisgarh.
