UP CM Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme
Presenting the budget for the session 2020-21 in the Vidhan Sabha, Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh Suresh Khanna announced the ‘Chief Minister Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme’ (CMAPS) and ‘Youth Entrepreneurship Development Campaign’ in the entire state to provide employment to the youth of the state. Under this scheme, a provision has been made to give training to youth in industries along with a monthly training allowance.
Rs. 2500 Monthly Allowance Under CM Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme
In the amount of allowance, an amount of 1500 rupees per month was planned to be given by the central government and 1000 rupees per month by the state government, and the remaining amount by the industry. With the operation of the ‘Chief Minister Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme’, the industries of the state will get employment along with training to artisans and youth. A budget provision of Rs 100 crore has been made to run this scheme.
Youth Hub To Start in Every District
Youth Hub will be set up in every district of Uttar Pradesh by which the youth will also be helped in the operation along with financial assistance in the project. According to the budget, an amount of 1200 crore rupees, which will be spent in providing employment to the youth, will be provided to the youth through the youth hub created by the government. Through this scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government, a target has been set to make about one lakh youth self-reliant.
A provision of about Rs 50 crore has been made for making youth hubs in each district under which youth in small-scale industries, khadi, and village industries, etc will be connected through Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana. Plans have been made to run Chief Minister’s Village Industries Employment, Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, Prime Minister’s employment generation program, and special employment scheme for the youth living in rural areas.
Universities to be built in Saharanpur, Azamgarh, and Aligarh
With the CM Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, the UP government is focusing on the construction of universities in the state. 3 new state universities will be set up in Uttar Pradesh in the cities of Saharanpur, Azamgarh, and Aligarh. Apart from this, a Police Forensic University has also been proposed to be established in UP.
Construction of Engineering College, Ayush University, and Law University
Law University will be established in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh and Ayush University in Gorakhpur. Engineering colleges will be set up in Mirzapur, Pratapgarh, Basti, and Gonda districts. Apart from this, Atal Residential Schools are also being established in 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh. A separate arrangement of Rs 270 crore has been made for this.
