India’s fight against Corona continues. The country has achieved an important achievement in vaccination against Corona. So far 150 crore doses have been given in the country. The vaccination campaign in India picked up pace in August 2021 after being slow initially. The month of September was the best for the campaign, in which about 24 crore people were vaccinated. On an average, 68 lakh people are being vaccinated every day since December 1. Last year, 250 million vaccines were administered in a record time of 36 days.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the second campus of Chittaranjan National Institute of Cancer Institute in Kolkata. On this occasion, PM also talked on Corona. PM Modi said that so far 150 crore vaccine doses of corona have been applied in the country.
On October 21, the figure of 100 crores was achieved
India had achieved 100 crore vaccinations on October 21 last year. Earlier, on August 7, 2021, vaccination in the country touched the figure of 50 crores. That is, in about 80 days, 50 crore people in the country were vaccinated. Let us inform that till now more than 87 crore people in the country have been given the first dose of corona while about 62 crore people have been given both doses of corona. At the same time, about 35 crore people above the age of 45 years have been vaccinated. At the same time, two crore adolescents have also been vaccinated.
This state tops in vaccination
Uttar Pradesh tops in corona vaccination in the country. More than 20 crore people have been vaccinated here. Apart from this, more than 13 crore people have been vaccinated in Maharashtra, about 11-11 crore people in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
On the other hand, Prashant Kishor, who has prepared a strategy for political parties in the elections, has said that the Election Commission should ensure at least 80 percent vaccination in 5 states to be held within the next few months. He has said that at least 80 percent of the people in the five electoral states should be given both doses of corona.
