People in the crowd were trying to run here and there. Meanwhile, 12 people died in the stampede, while many people were injured. The accident happened near Gate No. 3 of the Vaishno Devi temple’s courtyard, when it was about quarter past three in the night. Some people even went to the grill to save their lives.
